Namah will soon be the lone soldier for the Opposition. The coalition has gained 2 more MPs who know that to be with the coalition means their provinces move up in line for development funds. Doesn't pay to be in the Opposition these days. Wasn't Namah predicted by a different opposition party to be the PM instead of O'Neill? Just having fun bonk.
"In a move to secure development funds for his electorate, Talasea MP Francis Marus and Member for Lufa Open Jeffery Kuave left the opposition ranks to be in the government.
Marus joined the United Resources Party coalition partner headed by William Duma, while Kuave joins the ruling party, People’s National Congress.
Mr Marus told a news conference yesterday that his people petitioned him to join the government in March. He then consulted the Prime Minister and the Opposition leader.
Marus move comes just weeks after another opposition strong-man; Francis Potape defected to the opposition for similar reasons as well as LNG.
Leader of URP, William Duma in accepting Marus into his party acknowledged Mr Marus’ experience as a senior member of parliament. Duma said URP has a history of providing stability to coalition governments.
Local leaders from Talasea were also present to witness this ceremony and thanked Mr Marus for his move.
United Resource Party now has nine parliamentary members.
Meantime, Minister for Finance James Marape welcomed Mr. Kuave on behalf on the Prime Minister and other members of PNC Party.
Mr. Kuave said his decision to join PNC was to see service delivery to Lufa District. He also thanked runner-up for Lufa Open seat in the 2012 National Election Eddie Mike for withdrawing the election petition filed against the member."

The last words Namah was heard to utter today were, "Don'y worry, I'll get the lights."
