The bigger picture

On a day like this with the financial markets on a high and InterOil announcing a very credible new CEO but the share price succumbing to yet another Citron piece, shareholders might be given to wonder about whether they'll ever be basking in the sun.

The answer is almost certainly yes.

For you to realize that, you have to take a few steps back though. Don't look at the hourly, daily, weekly, or even monthly turn of the stock price, but look instead at the yearly performance.

At once, you'll see that there is in fact a relation, which seems so spurious on a day like today, between business development and the stock price.

Whatever the day-to-day power of the shorts, in the longer run, there is a neat correlation between positive business developments and the stock price, and there is no reason this won't continue as it did in the past, even if the short run might be different.

Good points. Shorts are pulling out all stops just to be able to keep a lid on it. These articles are getting more and more desperate and now they're dragging in past hacks. Gefvert might even reappear at some point. But real money gives little attention to the articles. Rubbish.

Everyone should be aware of the louder they scream, the more lies shorts create, the more facts they distort and ex-felons weigh in, the more fear shorts feel. This will continue in the near term because time is not on the shorts side.

Agree and the "faces" and tactics are well known by now and what they say is without merit. Have been exposed as being wrong on most of their major points over time and they are hanging by a thread. But, all we need to be concerned with at this point is "new" management getting the deal(s) right.
