CCTV retracted allegations one month after
#1

For those of you who understand speaking Chinese, here is a link to a CCTV news report that actually praised NQ for its technology in preventing the spread of virus in the mobile world. Note that this news report was only one month after that well-known CCTV incident so obviously CCTV was retracting its allegations on NQ. Next time shorts use this excuse to distort we can fight back with the real fact.

below is my reply to someone on SA who asks solid proof (instead of company's 90pg report that says so) that CCTV did retracted its allegations.

CCTV never officially announced that they were wrong. But one month after that incident CCTV broadcasted a program in which they actually praised hard on NQ and its technology saying it is "world leading". In that program several researchers from independent 3rd party research institutions were invited to talk on the topic of mobile internet virus protection, and they spoke very high of what NQ was doing and achieving.

Now, why did CCTV do this in April, just one month after they condemned the same company for committing unethical business practice? my impression is that they were trying to make up for the falsehood they caused.

here is the link for the video: http://news.cntv.cn/china/20110418/108693.shtml ; unfortuntely it is in Chinese as you can imagine. You can get your Chinese friend to verify its content though.

Thanks. Of all these claims in MW I found the one about the software being akin to malware the least credible, downright bizarre, considering the amount of partners and certification it has.
