Destiny's Ground Floor Opportunity Revisited

Destiny Media (DSNY.OB) is a small company with a market cap around $70M with a stock price circling $1.20. The latter is already 50% up from when we first reported it ten months ago. The company has some very interesting technologies that are worth a deep look and can set off the stock price.

The two main technologies are:

  • PlayMPE, a secure way to distribute media files over the web
  • Clipstream G2, the second generation of a playerless streaming media solution

Both technologies were already introduced in that previous article so we just report what has changed. [Read on here]

Gave it a look and like it as a small speculative play. Took a small bite yesterday. Thanks for all the research on this guys.

Welcome aboard Palm! I don't know short-term (it has been quite a rally already), but medium term you should do well. If you have a spare moment, listen to the CC or read the transcript. It does something I couldn't do in the articles (which preceded the last CC), mentioning concrete sales interest and different "verticals", that is, specialist market opportunities (besides advertising) that seem to be substantial.

Starting Q1 of next fiscal year (which starts Sept 1.), that should translate into revenues and profits. It's difficult to predict how much (if any) the share price will run ahead of these. My best guess is that that we could reach $2, but that's only that, a guess. It will plateau at some level to wait for confirmation.

When that confirmation comes, in the form of contracts and numbers come in, it could very well be rising more, substantially more. Long-term, it's anybody's guess. It's only an $85M company right now.

The speculation part is that these sales and contracts are not materializing, which seems very unlikely to me (the CEO is accessible and a straight shooter, from what I can tell) but I realize many investors want to see some confirmation first before taking the plunge.

The first buyers bought on blind faith in the technology (although they do have another product that produces some profits and, more importantly, the cash flow to develop Clipstream G2, so the downside was never really zero). Risk and reward usually go hand in hand..

Will give the CC a listen. I've been watching and reading about this company for a while and waiting more for a point like this to enter. I know I've missed the first run, but looks like there's more to come. I never look for ST so will be patient like IOC.
