Deal expands product collaboration agreement with NQSky Enterprise Mobile Management Platform integration

BARCELONA, Spain (Mobile World Congress), Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ), a leading global provider of mobile Internet services, today announced that NQ Mobile has reached an agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. to become an authorized global reseller of the Samsung KNOX Mobile Device Management Solution.

"The reseller agreement between Samsung and NQ Mobile is a natural evolution of our relationship and shared dedication to providing the strongest security solutions that still enable full device functionality in the enterprise setting," said Injong Rhee, Senior Vice President of KNOX Business, IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics.

"NQ Mobile looks forward to this strengthened relationship with Samsung and the ability to promote and resell Samsung KNOX mobile security services for Samsung's entire Android device portfolio including the Samsung GALAXY S and Samsung Note devices," said Gavin Kim, President, International and Chief Commercial Officer, NQ Mobile.

The new agreement extends the strategic relationship between NQ Mobile and Samsung, enabling NQ Mobile to sell, distribute and promote the Samsung KNOX end-to-end mobile security solution for Samsung devices. The KNOX platform provides hardware and software integrated security for advanced data and privacy protection and allows consumers to use a single device for work and personal use with the ability to separate enterprise and personal environments. It provides reassurance and convenience for IT departments looking to implement and manage Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies, or looking to replace legacy infrastructures, supporting Samsung mobile devices.

This deal enables enterprises to take advantage of bulletproof mobile device management and security protection for Samsung devices through a combination of Samsung KNOX and the NQSky Mobile Device Management platform.

Enterprises also have the ability to use NQSky's device and platform agnostic mobile managed services (including Android, iOS, and Windows Phone) to provide robust device management, mobile application management (MAM), mobile content management (MCM), and mobile security management (MSM) for smartphones maintained within their environment.

I understand what it says, I guess my questions are with respect to what they were using for MDM prior and if partners have been asking for this type of solution. This would give me a better idea of the growth prospects because despite having margins that are obviously lower in this division than other divisions it seems like it's a big market to penetrate.

Would much rather get a response detailing an approximate audit release date. Even an estimated date range would be appreciated

I think it will be released when it is ready, do not think they will announce a date.

I do not think NQ can release any non-public information especially on Audit. But they can give more details explanation about this Samsung deal.
