The US Geologic Survey stated in 2012 they estimated 25 TCFE before many of the current seismics and wells had been drilled . That's an independent party for sure .

That USGS number was an iWAG at the very best and really doesn't have any value now that real holes are being punched in the ground.  If Wahoo confirms it wouldn't be hard to imagine 50+ found in IOC's acreage over the next 10 years given the aerial extent of the Orubadi and underlying limestone.

Best defense against a buy out is the hiring of these independent estimators of reservoirs who came up with the 8 and 9 TCFE estimates plus the 35 other prospects . I can't imagine anyone buying it all with the current oil and gas pricing situation. Who knows.

Those estimates not from "independent estimators", but rather "internal estimates based on recent gravity, seismic, and well data".  (Page 5 of Transcript)
