Shareholder on record date
#1

Another question,

Should someone buy shares of IOC after the announcement last week, do they get to vote on the deal?  If so, what is the cutoff date?  - I can see some additional volatility in an effort to buy more votes one way or the other.

Next, what about purchasing IOC stock between now and the vote (when is that anyway)?  If you were to buy IOC stock right before the vote and it passes, are you entitled to the cvr or do you think it will be based on the shareholder of record date right before the announcement last week?

Which leads into my last question, if call options get converted into stock after the vote/merger what implications can you see if the shareholder on record date is based on some date prior to the conversion of the calls to stock?

Thanks in advance,
