Interest in a class action grows
#1

Based on my in box . Why not file the class action Breach of Fiduciary lawsuite and let the real values be put in the light of day . Wonder if this is a loser pays lawsuite ??

If you disrespect Hession for this deal and other actions we can stop his pay day with the law suite . Isn't that enough in itself to motivate one to join the law suite . Phil is the best person to head up the effort . The difference is Billion's plural difference in money to owners of the stock . See Relkers post this Board for his work . Proving the loss of value from ditching the Total deal for this deal could be handled by a first year law student . Geez wonder what a lawyer who specializes in these type law suites could come up with .

It's real money worth a fight !!

While I agree that a CA MAY be a good course of action, we need to know more from attorneys experienced in these sorts of actions and we may want to have some guidance from an investment banker that is also experienced in these sorts of issues.

I do not think it is a good idea to put our fate in PM's hands at this time, although he should definitely be involved, but as a concerned shareholder. I do not think it wise to put our fates in the hands of another single entity again such as PM with his history and have no control over things. I think we should have learned by now that IOC shareholder interests will not be protected by any single entity. However, as I said above, he should definitely be involved as a substantial shareholder and because of his knowledge of things IOC.

Perhaps we need a committee to be formed to help us determine a course of action.

Keep in mind, time is of the essence so we need to make some basic decisions.

Trying to get a consensus and form a course of action here on SHU is not necessarily the best way to go. Too much "noise".

We need a way to focus on the issue of the offer from OSH, clarify exactly what we can expect if we vote yes and if we vote no, how to improve their offer, how to invite others to express any interest they may have in IOC and/or E/A.

We also need to know what our options are in addition to voting yes or no on the "deal" such as pursuing a lawsuit(s), CA or other, against MH, the BOD individually and collectively, and perhaps others that may be involved either directly or indirectly with the behavior of IOC management towards shareholders and their interests. There is much to unravel.

Forming a committee may provide a platform whereby the shareholders participating can approach OSH and others directly, representing shareholder interests.

As I have posted here on SHU in other threads, I believe we should create a website with a domain name that reflects its purpose for the benefit of other IOC shareholders that may be searching for information on IOC and the "Deal". They find it and register and join a common interest and effort to extract the greatest value for IOC, whether it be this "Deal", a modified "Deal", or another "Deal", or simply changing the BOD and CEO of IOC to obtain the best path forward for IOC shareholders. We all know that MH and the present BOD has been a disaster and are adversarial to IOC shareholder interests.

When I suggest a website be created to provide a platform to deal with these issues, I do not intend to be "In Charge" or to profit individually from it more than any other shareholder. I simply see a need for this sort of platform.

I can have a basic platform up and operational in a day~ to begin registering IOC shareholders and start the discussions.

I am interested in how others feel about how to proceed. We have to move beyond fruitless discussions here on SHU and other groups and begin to formulate a plan or plans of action to protect our interests.

Thoughts?

Different persons on this board have stated here and privately that they are investigating options.  I sense that they are not ready to share more info.  But agree people have to come together and plan and act.  Can't do that like this.  The large number who are undecided is disappointing.  Voting for PM is the first vote. I believe whether he wins or loses we win because it is another path to kill the current deal and make a better one.  Also it is a vote against the current thieves.  A better offer is my hope.  Don't make crime pay by voting for MH and the current board.
