I doubt that all 10 million would cover anyway. I expect even IF there is a squeeze, 4-6 million would remain short. IMO.

Bottom short interest figure for ioc for multi years is around 4 mm shares short I believe.  . I would agree that leaves around 6 mm shares that are "active" and move around, coming and going.

Bert, I agree that we will still have some short...for arguments sake lets say 5Mil (which I think is high. I think it will be below 10% outstanding shares personally) if there were 5Mil shorts still outstanding then that means over 5Mil shares would have to be covered. Depending on how quickly those shorts cover I still believe that alone will boost the stock significantly. When the shorts covered 1Mil shares several months ago we saw the stock move up imagine what 5Mil will do especially if a lot of those shares are covered quickly

TX, the shorts will also play the long side, so it can be a strong shot higher, like the late 09/early 10 runup. imo
