Hope Henry's ok and actually hope more that the illness was just a cover as he was too busy to travel

Biggest one yet

AUDIO recordings of the industry presentations made at the popular PNG Mining and Petroleum Investment conference in Sydney are expected to be available in the coming days.

About 1350 delegates attended the event last week, making it the most successful yet. The associated trade exhibition over the three days was also on a grander scale, with 50 booths compared to about 30 at the previous one.

One of the most anticipated presentations was an overview of InterOil’s Gulf LNG project proposal by Liquid Niugini Gas chief executive officer Henry Aldorf. However, he became sick at short notice, purportedly due to malaria.

This forced InterOil chief executive officer Phil Mulacek to cover the subject, but without much time to prepare.

The opening address by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill was well received, while there was good feedback on the standard of the conference papers.

These presentation documents, along with audio recordings, are expected to be online in the next few days, according to the PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum.

They will be made available through a separate link on the website http://www.pnginvestment.com/.

Hey Justin - it's my understanding Henry has  Malaria since childhood and that he is not the only IOC player with it.  Common for many that have travelled to certain parts.   Management with meds and you function as normal until you have a flare-up.  I bet  the Ant-flares-ups are more enjoyable.

Tree, thanks, makes sense.

Am wondering with the talk that mgnt are in PNG could coincide with a supposed BOD meeting on 15th. If that is the case it has been planned for a little while so maybe final bidders were told to get them in by this week for review by the board. If you have any illegal insider info on this if you could post it in the usual secret way by replying to this thread and cunningly putting your name to it to throw the authorities off the scent that would be great.

Justin,

The answer you seek is for philstar.compro and philstar.comturbo2012 users only.  Philstar.com had reported management travel plans to PNG  om 12/11/12 with those high powered attorneys in tow.  Non confirmed Aldorfaid.net sources cite IOC BOD meeting on 12/15 in PNG.  That is unconfirmed as of yet in the philstar.com mobile BS meter.

Have used 'contact us' feature and await BOD response.  Their service and pumper support at the philstars is extraordinary.

Hopefully, there is that BOD meeting and it will have something important to address related to Gulf LNG. However, the bottom line if not is that the BOD will be able to convene quickly and act whenever it needs to, according to available "inside information". Any impression that something of that nature would have to wait for the next regularly scheduled meeting is ridiculous.

Its a regularly scheduled BOD meeting. Yes a deal could be discussed for approval.Have the lawyers finished getting paid.??? A BOD meeting can be called at any time . Called a telephone conference Board meeting. Happens all the time.

Someone should tell Henry (and others with malaria) that there are now cures for it.

I, for one, would like to see and hear him at the next presentation.
