Two negative articles on SA today

I'll be darned, 3 in day. Hard to believe it was just a coincidence and not a cordinated effort.

There must be a forum for the shorts to talk to each other and hence the coordinated attacks!

actually i see GREAT news in Goldbaum's article, that HFs shorting NQ are still stuck in this muddy water and can't get out their positions. they have no choice but desperately spending more money shorting more to bring down the price and that's what we have seen for the last two weeks the manipulation. This is not going to last too long before a huge short squeeze finally step in. Time is on the side on NQ longs, as admin predicted.

Personally I believe Goldbaum to be either a ridiculously small HF or not even a fund. The closest I could find in a quick search was Goldbaum Capital, which has ~10 Million capital. (http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/goldbaum-capital-management)

Perhaps they wrote this just to get a quick scare and an attempt to cover. Honestly just need the audit results and from there on we'll be fine.

I think that the authors (all being short) were all getting spooked by the rising price the last few days, and independently decided to write an article to try to halt the action. Three short articles in a day after a steady upswing isn't a coincidence, but it's probably not collusion either.

Can't comment on whether these were linked or not, but this is what I saw in January 2015 calls:

For the $30 calls the spread was 40 cents bid and $1.30 ask. For $25 calls: $1.10 and $2.50 with decent interest.

I have been tracking this series for almost 40 days now and this was the widest bid-ask. The way I was reading this at the market open was: someone was expecting a huge fall in the stock.

My interpretation might have been wrong, maybe it is just the liquidity. But this seemed quite odd to me.

click on the profile of goldbaum research. It says he's employed at a midsized hedgefund. He doesn't run a fund.
