I think the shorts like to work the stock when the wind is at their backs, and the downdraft in E & P stocks after the recent oil price decline and the BP news is providing it. They're hitting the MB hard today, which usually coincides, and another weekly options expiration tomorrow.

Sept 60 COI and 57.50 COI option strikes are big and stand out like a sore thumb.   IMO, this is another crooks option play.  Interesting that the option expiration is two weeks away and they're starting early.   Think they want to kill  the max pain 60 and 57.5 open interest early for some reason?
