Has anyone checked this company?

I found this:www.showself.com/ (秀色直播). Before entering the site, my web browser warns me that the website may contain adult materials.

By a few glimpses, I think it is a bit like YY, another Chinese comany which also provides simiilar live video chats. I am not sure, though, whether it is providing entertainment and dating platforms on mobile internet, as described in NQ's 20F.

It's not related to porn at all. There are already 2 bigger players in this area in China today which is YY and 9158. The profit margin of this business is unbelievable high (which pushed YY stock from 12 to 80 in 2 years). I'm glad that NQ mobile entering this deal. I don't like VLife deal and a bit doubt of Expai but i give my full support to accquisition of Showself

Some other guy already posted link that the showself app is ranked at 17 in Top free mobile app in China and 115 in Taiwain which means it's a real business. On showself website it says it has 60 million registered users, compared to 400 million of YY and 200 million of 9158.

The contribution numbers you see are the amount of coins given to the caster. Coins convert at one RMB = 100 coins. Some of the more popular users are pulling in millions of coins a month. It would be useful to know how the revenue sharing works between the users and the casters.

Didn't see any porn / nudity, and they ask you to report any if you do see it. Seems like the draw is chatting with pretty girls and listening to them sing / talk. Probably a good way to leverage the gender imbalance in China.
