Great Perspective on PNG
#1
While I have full faith in the O'Neil govt and the leadership at Interoil many people who have never seen/experienced life in a third world country don't fully grasp just how transforming projects like Interoil's and Exxon's can be for an entire nation. With this transformation however there are always going to be those in political positions and positions of power looking to greatly enhance their personal benefit at the expense of others. Not only does IOC have a chance to greatly reward its shareholders but their project also has the capability to take thousands of people out of desolate poverty and into modern society. I hope that in the long run we see it do both.

Given RC's history I've often wondered if PNG is his incubator and this is his grand plan.

If that is RC's plan my respect for him would grow even more. From his website and what I have read about him he seems to be someone that takes pride in the companies he invests in and really demands good governance and corporate responsibility from his companies.
