Interoil chairman to quit amid probe

Probe: soon to be ex-Interoil chairman Maarten Rod
04 December 2012 10:57 GMT
The country’s economic crime unit Okokrim is looking into alleged payments involving Maarten Rod in the period from 2008 to 2010 during his tenure as chairman of a shipping company, according to an Interoil statement.
Rod said the charges are not related to Interoil but that he would resign his position as chairman of the Latin America-focused player on 20 December “until my name is cleared in order not to harm the company and its shareholders”.
He added: “The charges as far as I am concerned are absolutely, utterly and totally unfounded.”
Interoil is operator of several onshore exploration and production assets in Peru and Colombia, as well as the Tano shallow-water block off Ghana that hosts the earlier Ebony-1 discovery.

Whew! Wrong crooked Chairman. Ours looks like me.
Had to put this up so some dolt didn't errantly post it as gospel.
