I'll read the article with great interest.

I was one of Eugene Fama's research assistants in the '66 to '67 period at the University of Chicago GSB (now called "Chicago Booth") when he was totally committed to the now-called STRONG form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis.

At the time, I thought the EMH was quite looney and got into it with Fama and some other of his researchers, despite the fact that I was a mere grad student and he was a newly minted PhD with quite a reputation -- which has only grown over the years, to the point which I expect will win him a Nobel Prize for Economics sometime soon.

It is gratifying to see that empirical evidence has forced Fama to back off the strong EMH, to something that provides wiggle room. His former position was quite untenable.
