I would think, If you were XOM, you might be inclined to allow IOC to release some of the details to prop the price up.  I would also think, the last thing XOM would want is the price to fall to a level where a hostile takeover by another major is more plausible even with the poision pill.  That leads me to believe we will see news very soon or some measure to keep the price over $100 in the near term.
