Many other Boards have been created over the years. None has lasted like Yahoo. One reason is thousands of posters read the boards. Every once in a while a new poster will arrive with good information.Fund Managers do read the Yahoo Boards as well as Hedge Funds.Yahoo in the financial community is quite unique.
The plusses are well known and I agree they are powerful.
That said we can try to make this work.

That may be, but I have gotten to point that it's not nearly as useful as it used to be. Hard to believe someone can get a lot out of what is said there anymore. If someone is new, they would have to think it's a bunch of psychos. This board will be visible for a while at least. Let's give this it's chance and see what happens to Yahoo; MAYBE it gets to be useful again, but that will take a while. It's almost a microchosam of PNG itself with all the chaos. Hohoho

It has become a hide-out for teenagers, mostly. I really don't mind if people have a different opinion, as long as they stay civil and use data and arguments, in fact, discussing in that way is actually quite useful as it attends one to one's possible weaknesses and test the assumptions of one's beliefs.
However, when I'm ascribed things that I've never argued, invariably without source, or pigeonholed in stead of confronted with arguments, it stops being useful and starts being irritating. I mean, even in my takedown of Boston I use literal quotes and links to posts, you know. There should be certain rules of the game that everybody adheres to.

That's right STP. If we find lessened value in what Yahoo MB has become, I can't imagine anyone finding more value in it. Legit posters and lurkers will find valued discussion wherever it exists. Binck planted the seed of posting elsewhere and likely this forum will get some publicity on Yahoo today.
Hey Ken, I know you may go through withdrawls from all the personal attacks and when you need a fix feel free to torment those idiots! Did you have your meeting in FMBeach?

Ken , try a couple of days withput posting or limit your posting , you will be missed IMO
People will ask, and look for you, IMO the best way to attrack posters
STP forum has a great chance to succeed , he has been around forever and has SA articles going for him.
I agree that we do need outside info , so we need a MO for getting Good posters on board, should be easy
The alternative posting on the Yahoo Board is useless, IOC MB was the best around, I never bothered posting on others it made no sense
