I used to work in IR/PR for a fortune 500 and this WILL get management attention if enough longs call or email WA. If these efforts reach the ears of the BOD, it will be on an agenda for discussion.

michael.hession@interoil.com I also requested that Meg and Wayne forward my message to the IOC BOD.

Messaging them cannot hurt, might help, and sure made me feel better.

Going forward management needs to be far more focused on the impact of all public statements, guidance, etc. and actively supporting the PPS in the face of the suspicious manipulation that continues. This is a business and PR battle as much as a race to drill. Surely Hession has learned that lesson.

If IOC can start paying out a divi that exceeds the borrow %, there would be little reason to loan out shares to the shorts for manipulation.

Very pleased to see those supporting a return of capital to shareholders and communicating with management. It's time to use strategies on all fronts to unlock value and create shareholder wealth.

I have written both companies on their failure to comply with clause 13.1 of the SPA on the announcement. I also will reiterate my support of the bazooka approach with WA adding that a ~10x stock split is needed to increase diversity of owners. But the real thing is that I need to change. IOC will not hAve predictable cash flow for a long time if ever. It's cash will come from the drill bit, followed by discoveries, followed by deals and sell downs. With 2 lng plants in PNG (some day) that offers improved pricing potential for IOC. Each well drilled represents a large uptick or much larger down tick event in the future. So this will continue as a high speculation play for many years to come. The best way to serve shareholders is to establish a track record of sharing the booty of each new deal in the form of special dividends. If they don't do that then it's hard to see the near term attraction. Just saying |
