Here's the latest color on the governments desired developer of E/A .

By PATRICK T WUNDAI

IRRESPECTIVE of whatever the outcome of arbitration currently instituted in London, Total remains the Government’s preferred operator of the Papua New Guinea’s second LNG project.

"Total is providing competition in our oil and gas sector as big international companies strive to accelerate development of the nation’s economy.

"Now that Total, one of the worlds biggest oil and gas company is involved in the Elk/Antelope the joint venture, it has the technical, operational and financial capacity to develop the field quickly and efficiently," said the Minister for Petroleum and Energy Nixon Duban, during a visit to the Elk/Antelope sites project.

He made it clear that the national Government has thrown its weight behind the Elk/Antelope LNG development in Gulf Province, declaring it to be PNG’s next LNG project

So I take it that you believe the stock is correctly priced given all the uncertainties.

Seems as though that is what JFT is arguing.

Guys...the stock is being played here, yest and today.  short sales as a total of total sales today was 59.7 % on the nasdaq and 84.7 % on the nyse.   imo, csfb is likely behind this,  I've never trusted them...fwiw.   And I don't want to hear from CFA's saying otherwise......trans

So the professionals see the stock as over valued?

If by "professionals" you mean "whores" then I suspect they see no near term catalysts that will result in a major price move anytime in the next few months.  Even with a discovery at Raptor Credit Suisse gives no value of mention to the possibility of tiebacks to Raptor and Triceratops, still questioning the size of the resource to fuel the Gulf LNG plant.

Hession's strategy of keeping a tight lid on any information (he still has yet to disclose anything about Raptor) plays right into the hands of those who believe this will be a stock to continue to manipulate for at least several more months, and likely through the first half of next year.  After all, does anyone expect the disclosure of Antelope 5 and 6 drilling mud evaluation and wireline logs immediately following drilling in order to facilitate independent appraisal of the formation's net pay and porosity?

Nah, MH is like 25 lb drilling mud when it comes to letting any information out of the well bores.

No.

Some see the stock as playable or easily manipulated due to the very small float, the history and the remaining risks and uncertainties.  These are most likely the same players that previously shorted the stock heavily.

They presently still manipulate the stock for short term profits and to slowly cover their short positions.  Note the decreasing short interest.  It is steadily going down.

If you follow and study the options you will notice that the volatility has been substantially reduced and premiums have fallen as a result.

I believe that most professionals see the stock as very under-valued and that the pps will steadily go up from here.

I think the stock is ridulousely cheap today but until we get resolution of the arbitration and the Total payment we can't get close to any type fair value . What type anticipation of these events will the stock price show us and when ?????
I agree with Trans on CSFB
CSFB was a paid advisor to the PNG govt for years and passed information to their clients . They were also the home broker dealer for many of the short firms. Has any of this legacy carried over to the current CSFB research ??To be fair this is a large firm with thousands of employees and different divisions can have different opinions. Also fair to say many of those that recommended the shorting of IOC still work at CSFB . My problem with the shorting was it was at times based on non public information. Info received from their advisory role to the PNG govt .
