O'Neill: NEC Approval/Green Light Project
#21
True enough...but they are still effective.

Well, not for much longer. The more they drill and the more the project takes shape, the less room there is for the shorts to come up with their next batch of anonymous nonsense.

LNG deals

1)EWC , modules delivered Jan 2013

2)A sell down with names mentioned .

3)FID this year.

4)No company IOC's size has ever done what Phil has done. The SM do them but look at their results. Exxon $3 Billion over budget, Gorgan 3 SM's and they are $20 Billion over,

EWC pays for all of the cost overruns!!!!!!the key word is ALL.

The stock will have a NAV value post FID well over $200 per share.

Look at the cash flows in the AM.

5)Standard Charter is backing EWC. Seperate EWC announcement in the AM.

This wasn't presented by JFT as optimistic speculation...it was presented as fact.  Several members asked him to clarify how he "knew" this and he did not respond.  We now know definitively that no deals like this could have possibly been done because IOC needs the NEC documentation (official approval) before they can even get final bids; know the final players; or even know the exact structure of the deal.  So, to me this sounds like flat out fabrication by JFT.  I don't see posts like that as having much integrity...which is why we avoid all the Yahoos on the other board.  Is this okay with everyone?

I saw it as two separate topics - 1 ) confirmed trees post (which didn't mention what was below), 2) same speculation he always presents.   But to answer you question, I'd rather not have seen it.

I am quite comfortable in the belief that everyone on this board is capable of determining for himself whether a poster has said something credible or not.  On yahzoo, the board members have sunken to constant attacks on individuals rather than concentrating on what the facts are and what is being said by individuals.  This is the primary reason so many have migrated to SHU.  So now, JFT is being attacked as spouting "fabrications" (politically correct word for "lies"?). His post lacks "integrity."   I suggest everyone stick to the facts, and not attempt to garner "support" from other board members for those same types of posts from which we fled yahzoo.....is this okay with everyone?

Agree with you 100% kerek.  BTW, it is too early to condemn JFT as a 'liar' for posting what he heard.  Not long ago most concluded EWC was long gone and lookie here, they are still in the mix.

Has anyone else noticed how there is no press coverage of O'Neil giving approval? Not on any of my financial monitors, not on flyonthewall, yet when there was a rumor of the 50/50 split that was EVERYWHERE. I hate to say that Wallstreet and the MM's manipulate the press bc I've worked in the industry my whole life but this is quite blatant. Whoever is shorting this thing is VERY well connected.

Still a lot of work to do, but I like the progress.

Also, if one notes the wording of the response, it appears there are 5 or more bidders.

• Q13: Pavel, RJ
• 4.8 Tcf, initial plan precisely that, min or max?
• A13: It is starting point, if someone wanted 4.2 could. Those are binary issues, it is a starting pt. Some bidders want 4.2, one 4.9, others 3.8, that covers everyone.

So, 2 or more at 4.2 and one at 4.9, and 2 or more at 3.8. So if the wording is accurate, there are at least 5 bidders.

Best,
Sam

It has long been my personal view, and I think, the view of many others, that IOC's stock is being grossly manipulated.  This is because IOC is a small company with a gigantic resource which the world desperately needs.  In broad terms, this explains pretty much all of what is going on regarding IOC.  It is a war of immense proportions to determine who gets the prize.  As an IOC shareholder, I am interested in IOC keeping/developing its discoveries.  If IOC looses this war, for whatever reason, I will still make a double or triple....but I will be disappointed.

Official will come on PNG soil with all politicians and company officials present.  Phil said tomorrow they meet and roll up the sleeves to hammer out details.  Wouldn't be surprised to see that be the time.
