O'Neill stated he wanted Committee formed to negociate terms to report back  by the end of the month (tomorrow). While some call this a  PNG committee deadline, (some=shorts)  perhaps it was a dog whistle for IOC to announce a partner on the last day of the month and giving IOC and partner the day to pop corks. O'Neill blesses and welcomes partner via video cc or statement.

Then Monday O'Neill kicks off the conference by welcoming partner to PNG with champagne toast.

InterOil currently owns 58.6% of Elk/Antelope.  The “sale” of an additional 27.5% to the PNG government would lower that ownership to 38% as it will be a proportional across all current holders.  An additional (real) sell-down of 25% to a third party would lower IOC’s stake to around 20%.  Remember XOM has only a 33% stake in the first project, so InterOil holding 20% would not too far off the norm.

I said “sale” because we need to know the terms to make it official, but InterOil insists the terms must be mutually agreed upon.  The terms would likely be the same as the third party sell-down, but possibly a little lower in exchange for tax breaks and drilling rights extended.

Thank you for pointing that out. I guess that would leave IOC with about 40% of the initial LNG revenue?

Now, that guy is a MAN.   And MEN do not whine.   There are always blessings to count and others to inspire and to be thankful for.   Nick's example sure makes those that whine about anything, let alone,  about a volatile stock's pps you freely own or a colorful word a gracious website host wrote (that rightfully and passionately described the subject) look small.  That man with no legs is a giant.
