Rumors, rumors

'jft310' pid='16398' datel Wrote:Duma and IOC have agreed to all terms to the PA today. Off to the lawyers for language only. Rumor a fourth Super Major in on bids, maybe Exxon,Shell.Total and Chevron also PTT and JKM still in same rumor says. Well update next week. End of Feb solid still. I stiil like Exxon cause they need to build more trains The shorts set up a Bear raid. Raised the price PAID to borrow shares last week to 5%, told everyone to get short Tuesday and then released the Seeking Alpha article. Could easily happen again. They have paid help in the DPE and if he reported as did all the points were being nailed down the short need to make up stuff about IOC to drive it down. Its the business hold on until we get the deal.

Thats an outreageous statement JFT, Really totally out of line. Thats a yazoo post.

The fact that posts like yours are allowed totally diminishes the integrity of the SHU site,

I'm done posting here.

Best of luck to all.

I'm not planning to leave, but I echo Bert's sentiments. SHU posters certainly should be freely open to express their opinions, but knowing misstatements of fact should not be tolerated. ("Duma and IOC have agreed to all terms to the PA today. Off to the lawyers for language only") Lies might be a powerful strategic advantage of the competition but going there, in my opinion, undermines our otherwise winning advantages.

My sincere apologies to JFT if I got this wrong. I hope I am and this apology is due, but I have yet to see ANYTHING that has been correct on timing from IOC or this board. Direction and fundamentals though have been rock solid, a tribute to both the company and SHU. It is a waiting game.

So Art, you really think that terms to a MPA aren't agreed to and are being legally formatted?  With bid period ending it makes perfect sense the MPA is wrapped up and the bidders know it and there is no risk in bidding on a project which won't get approved.   Virtue is not with the disgruntled that take pot-shots at SHU posters.  Best, as Tarules says, 'use or flush' ithe nformation shared publicly here.

This is no yahoo post. WA verified with a PR the timing . Who hasn't read that P/R???So I am being tarred and feathered for telling you early?? The other statements have also been verified not with WA but others. Do with it what works for you. I say 100% this time its different.

I too had talked with IOC yesterday before the poop hit the fan. I was told the MPA was with the lawyers, so maybe one could say Duma gave his blessing. The second part about 4 bidders and listing them seems to be pure fantisy/ total speculation/ just pure BS. I was told a couple of SM and one Govt utility. I ask if JKM was acceptable: yes with a SM.

I vote TOTal and JKM ....  plus $500 million cash and $500 million of "carried well development costs in Elk/Ant" by TOTal plus they finance the LNG plant at a "cheap" rate.

Do I hear any other offers ?

Let me begin with a grovel.  I read the new posting list from the bottom up which made my questioning of JFT's post not only wrong but an avoidable mistake as well.  At least I had the sense to hedge the allegation with an apology which I am more than happy to reaffirm right now with my thanks to JFT for his work.

No, I do not doubt that IOC has now issued a clear deadline for final bids, a deadline over which they have control and a deadline which will be final (unless of course a public bidding war erupts).  I also do not find any errors in the logic suggesting the PA is wrapped up, thus enabling the final deadline to be set.   There is no guarantee of course that some otherwise very attractive bid might be made with T&Cs outside the PA.  But for many reasons, including but certainly not limited to pending lease expirations and the value to PNG of providing continuing major LNG construction project employment as the XOM project goes on line, I expect the chances of a significant "non conforming" bid to be small.

Yes, grovel I must, but my faith in IOC and its resource has once more been reaffirmed.

P.S.  I especially like the fact this agreement will only be for E/A, leaving out the dinosauer and fish fields.   Omega 3s really need to be a part of everyone's diet.

That's the problem.  The existence of truly valuable information (which JFT legitimately seems to have access to) gets overshadowed by all the other garbage.  I'm not leaving either, but redundant statements like "the deal will increase the pps by $50-$100" isn't based on anything factual.  It's a guess/hope and nothing more.  My opinion (which certainly can be taken with a grain of salt) is that the board reads better without all of that.

"My opinion (which certainly can be taken with a grain of salt) is that the board reads better without all of that."

Then I guess you don't get the Private Messages, texts, emails, phone calls that many of us get either when it's quiet or when pps is taking a hit asking, "What are you hearing?!! Is everything OK?!! Looks like something bad must be going on; can you tell me anything?!!"

So people post what they are hearing and get whacked for it, called a liar, called a pumper. Yet when times are tough many of those same people ask about what is going on through Private Messages, etc. Use or flush
