Petengr 1--Thanks for info on IPAA. When you get a free moment,(no rush), would you view my post to Trans on topic"LNG Energy revival in PNG " ? I would appreciate any brief comments on Seismosarus (sp?) especially. (maybe T-Rex too). I know you have given thoughts on these structures in the past, and I would sure be grateful for a  short update. If you don't have time right now,I will understand . GLTY.

Sageo, you are correct.  a year or so ago I contacted LNGYF and they confirmed the overlapping structures are Trex and Seismosaurus. Pet can fill u in more.

Sageo- I don’t have anything new on Seismosarus and T-Rex but if you look at http://www.lngenergyltd.com/i/pdf/CorporatePresentation2011_09_26.pdf chart 12 you will see a red high spot to the Southeast of Kuru and on the East side of the red line. That high appears to be in IOC’s PPL 237 and it is in the right spot to be T-Rex. Compare that to IOC’s http://www.interoil.com/iocfiles/documents/investorrelations/presentationanddocuments/2010/2010-06-22_AGM_Final_.pdf chart 16. You will see T-Rex on the Western boundary of PPL 237 and just South-southeast of Kuru. I can not tell much about Seismosarus with the information available from IOC or LNGE.

The good news is these T-Rex and Seismosarus prospects are on trend with the off shore reefs Uramu, Pasca and Pandora all of which are known to contain gas.

Petengr 1-- I can't thank you enough for your help ! When you highlight sites in blue, all I have to do is "point & click".For a dummy like me , this makes it so easy. I guess I was just borned too soon for all this great technology that we have today.Pet, as I try to find all I can on Uramu,Pasca and Pandora going back several years, do you think that with the ever-increasing seismic advances we are hearing about, that the gulf of Paupa might turn out to be a larger "Sunrise" ? (Indonesia / Australia borderline field as I'm sure you are aware of.)  According to what I read in one of the artcles,a well several years ago had such pressures that they had to"kill" it to be safe. Is the possibility there or am I "dreaming" too much again ? Maybe the report was just "pulling my chain". TIA

Sageo- I am not familiar with the Sunrise Field but I did a little research and found a couple of articles.

This field (or fields) is offshore in a few hundred meters of water, 500 km from Australia and 200 km from East Timor. The field was discovered 40 years ago and they are still trying to decide how to develop it. Options considered: 1. Pipe to Australia, 2. Pipe to East Timor, 3. FLNG.

There is an under sea trench that may be up to 13,000 meters deep between the field and East Timor. I don’t think they will be laying a pipeline across that. I think they are leaning toward FLNG using Shells Prelude FLNG after it finishes the first project off East Australia. That ought to delay it about 30 years. And we thought IOC was experiencing delays.

I did not see anything about the abnormal pressure that you mentioned.

Considering the offshore location, water depth, distance to shore, political problems etc. at Sunrise, I believe we already have a better field than Sunrise at Elk/Antelope. If we add Triceratops and all of the un-drilled prospects I think IOC’s future prospects are far better than anything at Greater Sunrise.

Could the Gulf of Paupa be bigger than Sunrise? I think there is a good possibility that it may be. As I have written previously I think the Pandora reef is much larger than has been shown on most maps. So far it is just very dry gas. But, alas, IOC does not have any offshore licenses.

Petengr 1-- My compliments for your work(extensive ) and your knowledge ! I will do more prowling to try to find more specifics on the "killed" well I referred to in my post.Really appreciated your coment on E/A and Tricera .True,Pan does seem to be very dry gasbut from what I have read thus far, either Uramu or Pasca look to parallel E/A in large amounts of condensates. Aside,I'm hoping IOC doesn't get a complete buy out, because their projects are exciting to say the least ! thanks again.
