It's a filing by the NY office and its an aggregated holding. Note that in item 5 the box is not checked. If it were it would mean these shares are being held for the benefit of one person who holds more than 5%. Tough to tell how many investors this represents. But as Maui pointed out it is up from 3%+ in the Oct filing.

© Number of shares as to which such person has: (i) Sole power to vote or to direct the vote: 2,386,059 (ii) Shared power to vote or to direct the vote: 22,631 (iii) Sole power to dispose or to direct the disposition of: 2,639,943 This seems to say that JPM has sole voting power for 2,639,943 shares. It looks to me like this represents the "aggregated holding" of all the JPM entities, not a group of customers.

The question is whether JPM would have to file for holding more than 5% for all its clients in total, or for just its "street name" clients, as bonk says. I'm not at all sure that is the case. It may be that JPM and its subsidiary entities, including their mutual funds, may actually own more than 5%, separate from their non-mutual fund clients.

Here is a link to 13G filings:
http://www.paulhastings.com/assets/publi...s/1827.pdf An interesting thing on this is that this is the NY office filing this 13G. The 3%+ that Maui mentions that was reported back in Oct shows on Morningstar as having been filed by their UK office. So will this 5%+ be shown separately from the UK amount, or does it include it?

In US securities law, a beneficial owner (as distinct from a "nominee owner," "registered owner," or "record holder" This 13G names JPM as the beneficial owner of over 5% of the total outstanding shares of IOC. I thas nothing to do with any "street name" shares the way Bonk suggest. |
