Exclusivity over: source
#21
A clever game. On Tuesday Hession confirms exclusivity in answer to a question about it based on the lack of "exclusivity" in IOC's quarterly info. And that exclusivity ends 2 days later?

The "industry source" (could be the janitor from DPE) knows XOM will not comment and IOC must scramble to get permission from XOM to comment. Clever game.

My bet -

The 'industry source', is incorrect  -or- we get SPA announcement for 4.6Ts which were the focus of the exclusivity on Monday.

IOC does not need to get permission to comment that negotiations are still exclusive. The CEO said that exact comment on the Q+A call on Tuesday. So they CAN comment on this.

JFT who did you speak to that said that?

FWIW I agree with your assessment Tree. One or the other in my view as well.

Agree if they are in such a strong position then they can comment...stock down 6 Premarket. Would appreciate a comment.

JFT-thanks, if IOC position is that of no comment then I believe that means it is true. Exclusivity has expired...and perhaps its good news but perhaps not. Never a dull moment

Down 12. IOC must comment. They have to do more to set the record and keep a consistent message.

"Yet an InterOil spokesperson said negotiations between Exxon and InterOil were ongoing," quote Blair Price.
