Does anybody think
#1
  1. That a leaked story from an "industry source" on options expiration day is just a coincidence?
  2. That no company would have serious interest in what's the best gas resource find in Asia for the last decades?

Then they have to think again. 1) we have seen time and time again and we don't even know it's true and even the story itself says that negotiations are still ongoing and  2) will simply tell you that IOC is in a good negotiating position. There will always be parties to offer a good deal as there is simply too much rent to be divided, especially with EXXON.

This too will pass..

Amazing how an unverified rumor from an unidentified source in a far away article on the web results in Schwab posting the alert:
"IOC falls after talks with XOM fail
IOC shares sank Friday after XOM's exclusive period of negotiations for a large stake of IOC's Elk-Antelope field in PNG ended without a deal, according to PNG, citing sources.
"It's dead" a source told PNG"

Wow, didn't see that. That's either some desk clerk's mistake, but then again, these mistakes do happen with amazing frequency. More so on OE..

One should simply treat these events as gifts to accumulate a few more. Maybe the exclusivity has ended, but the negotiations haven't, and the resource is still there, still the best find in Asia for the last couple of decades..

Cooler heads will prevail..

They all pick up canned news on internet etc. That's why those comments are doing a disservice to their clients. Just like the rating services for stocks, some are garbage outfits....
