The Minister for Public Enterprises and State Invest-ments Ben Micah has congratulated InterOil and its new partner Total SA on reaching an agreement for the development of the Elk/Antelope gas resources in Gulf Province."

Pretty much received accolades from all exept.......................  Namah. Maybe he'll punt in soon.

Here's a new twist with O'Neil reportedly saying the government had no role in the process ;-)

"PORT MORESBY, PNG --- Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O’Neill says French company Total SA will develop the Elk and Antelope gas fields in Gulf.

"The project has been in the planning stages for a while and he congratulated InterOil and Total for the partnership.

O’Neill said the Government had not interfered and had nothing to do with InterOil’s decision to have a partner for the project.

He said the Government encouraged InterOil’s directors and shareholders to do the selection process commercially."

That was also in a larger article from the National posted yesterday. He had a bit more to say and has obviously along with others endorsed the Total partnership.
