Hello,
We are very pleased to report positive business development news from both Beijing and Dallas. In China, vLife, the technology that underlies NQ Live, is breaking new ground in mobile marketing – an area with immense potential to drive exceptional growth for NQ Mobile.
With the average smartphone user looking at his or her phone about 150 times per day, the mobile home screen is potentially the world’s most valuable ad “real estate.” In fact, because of the scarcity of space and the command it has over the user, Bessemer Venture Partners has valued 1/4” of a smartphone’s home screen at $1 billion.
While the potential of the home screen as a marketing vehicle is clear, it’s how to tap into that potential without annoying users that has been the challenge. vLife’s wallpaper technology is meeting that challenge with an organic, user-friendly experience that’s rapidly gaining traction in the Chinese market.
Harper’s Bazaar implemented vLife in support of an issue featuring popular Chinese actor Deng Chao on the cover. Users could customize the lock screen with different pictures from the cover story on Deng Chao, yet still easily access key device functions. The vLife dynamic lock screen was also used to promote the installation of a new application launched by the magazine. The dynamic lock screen was used for an average of 86 hours and led to over 7500 downloads of the Bazaar app in 30 days.

vLife has also been used to support major motion pictures. Not only has the technology been used for Chinese films, such as Diary of Plastic Surgery and The Great Hypnotist, it has been used for promotional campaigns for American blockbusters like Transformers: Age of Extinction and the 2014 version of Godzilla.

As the mobile application model moves away from pre-installs and users increasingly look for personalized content experiences, we expect more marketers will embrace vLife and NQ Live technology to seize the opportunity offered by that most valuable piece of real estate, the home screen.
Additionally, the NQ Mobile Team in Dallas is happy to report that NQ Mobile has been named to the 2014 Fast Tech list, a part of the annual Metroplex Technology Business Council Tech Titans program.
The honor, presented by TravisWolff, Comerica Bank and the Dallas Business Journal, recognizes NQ Mobile as one of the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North Texas. Final rankings for each company will be announced at the MTBC Tech Titans Gala on Friday, August 22, and published in the August 29, 2014 edition of the Dallas Business Journal.
Thank you very much for your continued support and interest in NQ Mobile. We look forward to providing additional business updates in the near-future.
