Not to the people who purchased it at much higher prices over the last 5 years( when targets by Rj, Wayne(( privately)),and other brokerage firms were much higher) .  Some investors are looking for those 150-300 prices that some on this board were chirping about years ago.  Hell, many would take the $125 that Phil would never have accepted 8 years ago.

Lot's of ways to lower your cost . Portfolio managers do it everyday ,

What, write calls at levels way below your current avg price( and maybe get called out), write calls at you avg price and make $20 a month for the next 50 years,  average down for the 10th time( money managers know that you shouldn't have all your $$ invested in 1 stock), write puts and maybe have to buy more stock ( see previous) any other great ideas?

You're getting it Croozer. You told me once you have endless cash buried in your back yard. Use it to average down like the rest of us.

You have excellent ideas!! . Another solution if a stock price is cut in half is to buy an equal dollar amount to original purchase which is twice the shares . Get a recovery to your original puchase dollar investment and sell out the highest price shares . Some even use a 3 to one ratio and it gets done quicker . Interoil has recovered to $60 several times making this a solid proven idea .
That way your are not to far over loaded for extended periods . Taxable accounts are easier to not over load than Retirement accounts . The key is to trade part of the volatility .
If your cost is $72 and you own 100 shares buy 200 more at $36 . Do the math it works .

So, you are saying if you have $700,000 in 10,000 shares, you should put another million in now and you will guarantee a quick recovery to 60?  I'm in for that lol

I got to get me one of those unlimited money accounts. Always buy, never sell and don't worry about 40% drops because in 2012 2013 2014 2015  2016 we will be very rich.

From Stavros?? Where?

Better; since IOC has recovered to $60 several times and is proven, IOC has also then dropped to the $30s several times and is proven. So, buy in the $30s with all you have, then sell when it hits $60. Then short at $60 and cover in $30s. Rinse and repeat. Easy money and IOC can just keep on doing what it has been. Money machine baby!

Palm, I don't often literally laugh out loud at something on this board, but you got one on that!
