A little perspective
#1

Kosmos Energy (KOS) (NYSE (NYX): KOS) announced today that the Marsouin-1 exploration well, located in the northern part of Block C-8 offshore Mauritania, has made a significant, play-extending gas discovery. This is the companys second major discovery of 2015.

Based on preliminary analysis of drilling and wireline logging results, Marsouin-1 encountered at least 70 meters (230 feet) of net gas pay in Upper and Lower Cenomanian intervals comprised of excellent quality reservoir sands. Located approximately 60 kilometers north of the basin-opening Tortue-1 gas discovery (renamed Ahmeyim), Marsouin-1 was drilled in nearly 2,400 meters of water. Marsouin-1 is our second major discovery of 2015.

70 meters of gas is a major discovery.  The (very delayed) Antelope 4(S1) hit gas 32 meters more than expected.

"And maybe someday we will find , that it wasn't really wasted time"

Question for the engineers on the board. Why are they always renaming these discoveries and who gets to decide what the names are going to be. Just killing a little time before the big news tomorrow. Can I get a well named after me? Is it like naming a stadium rights.

Antelope-5 achieved highest gas rates at
lower drawdown pressures than any other
carbonate gas reservoir on public record.
