This gas glut story is reminiscent of my early career in the oil and gas industry in the late 70s and 1980s when headline after headline frequently appeared in industry trade journals speculating when the dreaded "gas bubble" would finally "pop." That was the term used then to describe the seemingly never ending days of a gas glut and rock bottom prices lower than today, but not by much. Even deregulation did not help, at least not for a long time if my fading memory serves me correctly. Looks like de ja vu all over again for the last few years with gas and now with oil. |
