Tower to InterOil, Tower to InterOil
#1

InterOil this is the tower. You have just cleared overhead resistance for over 2.5 years of trading at today's price of $84.05.

Forecast now has NO OVERHEAD RESISTANCE and clear skies. You are now cleared for take-off and please note that there are several refueling partners such as XOM, MRO, Shell, Chevron, Japex, Mitsui, etc. that are eager to provide further fuel for your continued ascent.

Please note that you might observe extreme short turbulence at further ascent prices of $85, $90, $95, and $100 but none of these occurances should impede your trajectory towards $200 and beyond.

Have a safe trip InterOil.  Tower Out.

TA et al, What an ideal technical position for IOC here. A short had better get down on his hands and knees and pray a bit wall street house doesn't initiate coverage soon. With IOC being considerably derisked here, or in the process, its an ideal place for a big house to step up to the place. imo

Ladies and Gentlemen, Captain Mulecek has turned off the "Fasten Seatbelt" sign.  You are now free to make a ridiculous amount of cash.

Trans - it is well known that GS has been an IOC MM for many years and has also leaned short. When they turn long (when, not IF) they could also initiate coverage and the lid would be blown off and obliterated.

My bet is GS gets long IOC the day of the deals.

In the last hour with the stock taking off the bid/ask spread has gone from several cents to currently 93 cents.

On another note I'd like to say its quite amazing that in the last month the stock is up 22% on no news that we here at SHU weren't aware of.....just watch what happens with T-2 update and then when the prices start coming out regarding the sell down

Interesting thing is Shell knows full well what these statements would do to pps. Normally the standard response would be, "We have a policy to not comment and any possible negotaiations we are involved in." I think this is a clear message to anyone thinking they can come in and get a bargain. As management said at AGM, Cove is something to watch as an example.

Only short term caveat I see here, in looking back at trading behavior, is that short term tops have occurred at the following peaks off of the 50 day moving average. 18, 15, 18, 16 points with the final two peaks off of the past all time high, 20 and 24 points in the ultimate high. Point to remember is that the 54-55 peak high back in Oct 2009 was followed by a sharp rollover of around 10 points, after which IOC proceeded higher to 84 in Jan 2010. I believe this stock is headed much higher but with today's big pop, IOC is 18 points above its 50 day sma. So, we are getting into short term overbought territory. Can it go higher here? Sure, would love to a $90 +/- and then take a short term breather. Longer term is higher tho. imo

I agree short term we are overbought. But if you recall the 84 all-time high in January 2010, that was driven by rampant oil rumors and then the subsequent drilling result report let down. Today's situation is much different.  No doubt though that the stock will take a few much needed breather consolidations.
