Anyone watched this weeks episode of "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" about Deep-Sea Mining?

Why don't you enlighten us with what you watched.

Why don't you enlighten yourself by watching it. It will be on his YouTube channel in a couple of days.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I've read a couple of articles about it. People like Oliver always bash sea mining but never point out the decades long trend of falling yields / rising costs of land mining or offer any viable alternative. Idk, I guess if you make millions every year consumer prices don't really matter that much to you...

I really like John Oliver. I think the exposure he brings is great for the industry. His argument against are really weak, talking about TMC's Gerard Barons lackadaisical approach to the environmental issue only highlight the lack of a legitimate argument against the industry.
