Hopeful Thread
Tonga has lost control of their wealth and economy. That is why they want to deep sea mine. When that happens, I believe we will see real value in the share price.

Very quiet over the last 3 weeks - can't find much of anything, no trading, no news from the ISA meeting.

USAGX fund still retains their 5.7 million shares of nusmf though Q1 of 2024. All holdings pdf.

On page 63 of TMC's annual report they discuss the risks of not owning or having access to the necessary patents and intellectual property to actually seabed mine. You know who does? Nautilus Minerals owns 12 key patents and established ip for this emerging industry!

My new working theory of hope, is that Nautilus is waiting for TMC to file the Exploitation application this summer before they move forward. Once the app has been submitted and will start the year long approval process then Nautilus will move forward with becoming the first deep sea mining operation in the world.

Something has to happen right? This might be the "calm before the storm" and things will start to take-off after the July ISA meeting / final application approval (the 2 Year Rule completes in June 2024 for TMC's Nauru application). Everyone stay positive and let's hang in there till the bitter end!!

Found this on the Impossible Metals site - they are a subsea mining startup in CA.

Steelrat: unfortunately more of the same uncertainty my friend!

1.) Noticed that they added a "History" section to the New Era vesselfinder page. Kind of interesting:

2.) Marine Vessel Traffic was last updated May 4, 2024 with some additional ship info:
