Keys to national prosperity
#5
Thylacine, yea, it's a bit like detective work, what works where, and why? Things are not always transplantable though, institutions have a habit of forming tight knit puzzles that are shaped by decades, if not centuries of co-evolution and its cultural environment. An economy isn't a supermarket where all elements mix equally well. If that would be true, one could construct a super economy, mixing the American innovation system with German vocational training, Danish labor market, Japanese patient capital, French healthcare, etc. but to a considerable degree, countries can learn from one another and copy best practices.

Art, each deals with this waiting game in their own way, and there are morsels of info that can be pretty useful. I don't think you have to worry about anyone's sanity here.
