Recoveries from financial crisis
#2

STP - As always, you post some interesting stuff. I just wish such analyses were more relevent to public policy.

Many (most?) Americans appear willing to follow a man that says "I know how" and "I have a plan" and just 'trust me to tell you what it is and how I'll execute it after you pick me as your leader'. I did have to laugh (sort of) when that guy said last night said 'Bain has been in a blind trust for the past eight years so I have no control over the decisions it makes.'

Hmm, what did that say about the real world experience and philosophy of the 51% owner of a company that is currently packing up and shipping jobs to China? (Google Sensata and Freeport) Has to be good grist for somebody's mill, but then, who cares enough to consider that relevent information in their vote? I mean, just how effective in today's economy is a "businessman" who claims he hasn't worked that job since 1999?

I personally though appreciate these posts, find them challenging but interesting to read, and thank you for them.
