Why??The new relationship between IOC and the PNG govt they need each other and not another Exxon forcing deals on PNG.They will help each other. When the O&G majors left PNG in 2003-2005, PNG did not forget.
When the expected PNG-Australia Pipeline was ended.. PNG did not forget.
PNG has a partner that is ready now for a decade of develpment.
We have passed the time of "connect the dots" We are now in a time of "conductivity"
Welcome to the engagement.

.
What's wrong with asking IOC to participate in a sovegrn electrification program? I know and recall other rural electrical sovereign investment that was the foundation of develpment.
Even Duma as brought forth electrification for his politicl district.
The ground is starting to turn... take notice.
Kool-Aid Wine tonight??? How dare you to move beyond 'connect the dots'!!!
