I would question the integrity of the Author. At 45 megajoules/Kg that is 3 megatonns/day of NG or 1.5 gigawatts. If 1.5 gigawatts is the average I would assume 3 gigawatts of capacity. Peak production in Northern CO is 0.6 gigawatts.
