I own a basket of Mortgage REITS, but ya gotta buy em right.Buy ex dividend or on a secondary or both and thats what I do and slowly accumulate shares in NLY,AGNC,ANH,TWO,CYS. I change the weighting based on where they are vs their book value. I try to buy them below book value.
On weakness the MLP's are good like LINE
On weakness the pipelines are good like ETE.
On weakness look at BTE,CPG types.
Apple on bad day is a buy.
Carry cash for those bad days then add or buy.
Don't use margin.
