Pet engr 1-- Good am,sir. I was doing some more geology research,and I would liketo ask you: to the best of your knowledge have any wells in or near our leases in PNG ever reached the Ieru formation? (do not know) depth in our area or if formation is even present)?? The Ieru is either Miocene or Lower Cretaceous,I believe.It contains the Toro and Alene sandstones. If they (as reported) have 14 to 18 % porosity with perm,and they are present in any of our leases , then Phil's comment abount "oil is down there somewhere" might be in one of these sandstones ?? Or would we be looking for other strands or formations ? TIA .
