Another observation is that insofar these observations are based on adverse demographical developments, this applies less to the US, which has an increasing population rather than a shrinking one like many other developed country and a less generous welfare state which puts them in a better position to wheather the demographical storm, if they manage to get the ludacrously high healthcare spending under control, that is.
