New Upstreamonline article on IOC’s deal with XOM
#10
The point is OSH has not found enough NG for a third train. Exxon needs IOC NG to insure there is enough NG for a third train,Exxon states 2 T's at P'nyang which is not enough NG for a new 3 rd train .Exxon wants 4.6 T's from IOC.A certainty they have the NG. Another point the new pipe to PNG has room/capacity for 1 more train. For a fourth train and more trains Exxon must build a second pipeline to Port Moresby.
Exxon can't spend billions with the possibility OSH can find NG. They do not fly by the seat of their pants. The only NG available that has certification its there is IOC's. I guess OSH will be involved with a fourth train if they get lucky and find more NG. Today they have not found the NG and thus their slides say needs and requires further appraisal.Quote them.
