Please correct me if I'm wrong, aging memory and all that....
But, aside from O'Neill's comment, wasn't the 30 to 60 day window in reference to "we should know more in 30 to 60 days" and not a "the deal should be done in 30 to 60 days"?
I don't recall hearing any real hint on timing of completed deal expectations from IOC, XOM or anyone else on their teams.
We also do not know that the "deal" has not been agreed to by the principals and is only waiting on PNG government to run the completed deal through their approval process.
Or am I missing something?
