The last time I talked to Wayne (admittedly a very long time ago) he seemed pretty confident that a selldown deal would make the shorts go away. I disagreed with him but he seemed dismissive.  If management REALLY wants to get rid of the shorts, they need a four pronged assault on them via:

1. Sell down properly communicated to shareholders. They need total clarity and Meg/Wayne need to contact any media outlet that distorts the deal news.

2. Stock split

3. Quarterly divi

4. Investor roadshow explaining the sell down details and future roadmap

Anything less than this and the shorts will continue to haunt the company.
