Do you really think that Exxon can/would feel any rush? I am not familiar with how the company operated and at what speed they operate. I hope you are right. If not a deal with any other company will take longer to monetize for IOC. Shell could use FLNG but there ship will not be ready for another 5 years. Total would have to build a plant, also 5 years.
XOM knows that they are IOC's best option and IOC knows that. On the same token XOM will get quicker gas with IOC and will make more money. hmmmmm...who will budge first.
