In fact, besides E/A and the other prospects, they might have another ace, here is Benzinga again:

Don Polye  (Deputy Prime Minister from PNG) just commented that   PNG locked into a CONSTITUTIONAL CONTRACT WITH INTEROIL - gives them 30 years tax free contract and govt has no recourse for min of 5 years --paving the way for a merger - Royal Dutch Shell and Exxon have been mentioned recently as suitors.
