Hmmm... it appears that this is just the daily file of shares sold short. Basically says that about 1/3 of shares traded on Friday were short sales.
Since the total volume was 3.2 million on Friday, I don't know why these numbers are so far off (unless they represent Thursday transactions which had a volume of 927,200 -- less than the 947,571 in the link provided).
Also, anyone know if the "Short Volume" is only for "Short Sales" -- or do they include in this number "Buy to Cover" (a Short Sale) ?!?!
