This is the area where the Exxon/Oil Search oil and gas pipelines reach the coast. Any industrial complex in this area will depend on Exxon/Oil Search oil or gas.
I believe the best Gulf Province site for a Total/IOC LNG plant is the bluff site near Kerema. If the plant is not to be located in the Gulf Province then it will likely be near Port Moresby.
