PNG LNG kind of important?

Obama: Milestone in US/PNG trade relations
The bilateral trade relations between Papua New Guinea and the United States of America is set to take on a new dimension with the PNG LNG project scheduled to begin exports.
This was from US President Barrack Obama, while welcoming PNG’s newly appointed envoy Rupa Mulina to the States and to the White House early this week.
"This year marks an important milestone in our bilateral trade relations as ExxonMobil’s US$19 billion (K47bn) investment in the LNG project is scheduled to begin exporting clean liquefied natural gas to customers in North-East Asia.
"It also marks the new beginning of a new era of expanded economic cooperation between the two countries," the president said.
While accepting the Letter of Credentials that had been presented by Ambassador Mulina, President Obama also praised the country for embracing the internationally recognised extractive industries transparency initiative standard.
He said this step would enhance the ability of PNG to successfully manage the flow of resources effectively and in conformity with international best practices.
The president also commended the country for its efforts in empowering women in taking steps to address issues on HIV/AIDS, climate change, governance and security.
"The United States is proud to partner with PNG on these critical issues," he said.
Ambassador Mulia, who hails from Central province, presented his credentials on Monday. The envoy is also accredited to Canada and Mexico and will be travelling to those countries to present his credentials....
